Old Station House

I picked up a flyer on the way out of The Dover Street wine bar advertising that the singer we had all just paid a stack of cash to hear was singing at the Old Station House on 10th January for free!

When we got to the Old Station House we were told he's wasn't performing (he hadn't turned up) and so the barmaid had booked some of her friends to play. There were four customers and a couple of student types attempting to perform jazz, if we wanted to hear students we would have gone to a students bar! we left.

I sent the advertised singer an e-mail to give him a piece of my mind, he told me that he had gone to the venue on the evening but been turned away as the manager had double booked him.

I don't know who is telling the truth so I suggest if you see adverts for "known musicians" at the The Old Station House you contact the musician to check that they are really playing their before making the journey.
